The Cleveland Browns organization unveiled sweeping renovation plans for their lakefront stadium Tuesday, proposing a $1.2 billion project that would transform the 27-year-old facility into a year-round entertainment destination on the shores of Lake Erie.

Team owner Jimmy Haslam presented the plans alongside Cuyahoga County officials at a press conference downtown. The renovation would include a new enclosed roof structure, expanded concourse areas, modernized luxury suites, and a connected mixed-use development featuring restaurants, retail, and residential space.

“This isn’t just about football Sundays,” Haslam said. “This is about creating a world-class destination that serves Cleveland 365 days a year.” The project is expected to create over 8,000 construction jobs and an estimated 2,500 permanent positions.
